[Roppongi] PRIMAL BEAT

六本木駅 『PRIMAL BEAT』 BLOG

A certain day in June, the sun is strong and you can feel the arrival of summer. Get off at Roppongi Station on the Oedo Subway Line and head for Roppongi Hills.

There is a mural “PRIMAL BEAT” (Masayuki Tokunaga, 2000) at the ticket gate for Roppongi Hills, and it seemed to be a perfect meeting spot.

White musical notation, like the flow of time, brass instruments, and figures of people stretching their limbs.
In the dimly lit premises, above the glowing black wall paintings, free and dynamic gold lines, like children’s graffiti, carved the rhythm of primitive music.
